Meghalaya Explorer is a 7-day Meghalaya tour package covering Shillong, Shnongpdeng, Cherrapunji and Guwahati. Day-wise itinerary

1. Day 1: Guwahati – Shillong | Welcome to Meghalaya

   Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and meet our representative. Begin your scenic drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya and popularly known as the Scotland of the East.
   
   On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
   
   Later, if time permits, explore Ward's Lake, Police Bazaar and the surrounding areas.
   
   Overnight Stay: Shillong

2. Day 2: Shillong Sightseeing | Waterfalls & Scenic Views

   After breakfast, enjoy a full-day Shillong sightseeing tour.
   
   Visit popular attractions such as:
   
   Shillong Peak – panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
   
   Elephant Falls – one of Shillong's most popular waterfalls.
   
   Laitlum Canyon – spectacular valley views, subject to accessibility.
   
   Don Bosco Museum – explore the culture and heritage of Northeast India.
   
   Ward's Lake – a peaceful spot in the heart of Shillong.
   
   Return to your hotel in the evening.

3. Day 3: Shillong – Shnongpdeng | Riverside Meghalaya

   After breakfast, check out and drive towards Shnongpdeng, a beautiful riverside village near the Bangladesh border.
   
   Enjoy the scenic journey through Meghalaya's lush hills and countryside.
   
   On arrival, check in to your riverside accommodation and relax.
   
   The rest of the day is free to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Umngot River. Optional activities such as boating, kayaking, ziplining and river activities may be enjoyed at an additional cost and subject to weather conditions.
   
   Overnight Stay: Shnongpdeng

4. Day 4: Shnongpdeng – Cherrapunji | Caves, Waterfalls & Scenic Meghalaya

   After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of Meghalaya's most famous destinations.
   
   En route, visit Dawki and enjoy views of the India–Bangladesh border region. Continue towards Sohra and explore attractions such as Mawsmai Cave and Seven Sisters Falls, subject to seasonal water flow.
   
   Check in to your hotel/resort and relax.
   
   Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji

   Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

5. Day 5: Cherrapunji | Living Root Bridge & Waterfalls

   After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion around Cherrapunji.
   
   Explore the natural beauty of Sohra and visit attractions such as:
   
   Nohkalikai Falls
   
   Arwah Cave
   
   Mawsynram/Sohra viewpoints, depending on the selected route and local conditions.
   
   For travellers interested in trekking, an optional visit to the Single-Decker Living Root Bridge can be arranged, subject to fitness, weather and local conditions.
   
   Return to the hotel in the evening.
   
   Overnight Stay: Cherrapunji

6. Day 6: Cherrapunji – Guwahati | Scenic Drive

   After breakfast, check out and drive towards Guwahati.
   
   On arrival, check in to your hotel.
   
   Later, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, subject to temple timings and local conditions. Spend the evening exploring Guwahati or relaxing at the hotel.

7. Day 7: Guwahati | Departure

   After breakfast, check out and transfer to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
