About the tour

Kerala Nature & Backwater Escape is a 5-day Kerala tour package covering Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey. Explore lush tea plantations, waterfalls and scenic viewpoints in Munnar, experience the wildlife and spice plantations of Thekkady, and relax on the peaceful backwaters of Alleppey. Day-wise itinerary

1. Day 1: Cochin – Munnar | Waterfalls & Tea Country

   Arrive at Cochin International Airport and meet our representative. Proceed towards Munnar, one of Kerala's most beautiful hill stations.
   
   Enjoy a scenic drive as the landscape changes from Kerala's lush plains to the misty Western Ghats. En route, stop at the spectacular Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, surrounded by dense greenery.
   
   Continue to Munnar and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing amidst the cool mountain air and beautiful tea plantations.
   
   Overnight Stay: Munnar

2. Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing | Tea Gardens & Scenic Lakes

   After breakfast, proceed for a full-day Munnar sightseeing tour.
   
   Visit Eravikulam National Park, famous for its rolling grasslands, mountain scenery and the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, subject to park opening and local regulations.
   
   Continue to the Tata Tea Museum to learn about Kerala's tea-growing heritage and the tea production process.
   
   Later, visit Mattupetty Dam, followed by Echo Point and the picturesque Kundala Lake.
   
   Return to the hotel and relax.

3. Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady | Wildlife & Spice Country

   After breakfast, check out and proceed towards Thekkady, the gateway to the famous Periyar region.
   
   After check-in, enjoy an optional Periyar Lake boat cruise, subject to availability, where you may spot elephants, deer, wild boars and a variety of birds along the forested shores.
   
   In the evening, you may explore a local spice plantation or enjoy a traditional Kathakali or Kalaripayattu performance at an additional cost.

4. Day 4: Thekkady – Alleppey | Kerala Backwaters Experience

   After breakfast, check out and drive towards Alleppey, popularly known as the Venice of the East.
   
   On arrival, check in to your hotel/resort. Later, enjoy an optional backwater cruise by houseboat or motorboat, gliding through peaceful waterways surrounded by coconut palms, paddy fields and traditional Kerala villages.
   
   In the evening, visit Alleppey Beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset along the Arabian Sea.

5. Day 5: Alleppey – Cochin Airport | Departure

   After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed towards Cochin International Airport for your onward flight.
