About the tour

Assam Safari Experience is a 5-day Assam tour package combining the vibrant city of Guwahati with the wildlife-rich landscapes of Kaziranga National Park. Visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, experience the Brahmaputra River and enjoy an exciting Kaziranga jungle safari to discover the famous one-horned rhinoceros and Assam's diverse wildlife. Perfect for families, wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers and adventure travellers.

Day-wise itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati | Kamakhya Temple & Leisure

   Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station and meet our representative. Transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities.
   
   Later, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of India's most important Shakti Peethas. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the local markets and riverside areas of Guwahati.
   
   Overnight Stay: Guwahati

2. Day 2: Guwahati Sightseeing | Brahmaputra Experience

   After breakfast, proceed for a Guwahati sightseeing tour.
   
   Visit attractions such as Umananda Temple and other prominent city landmarks, subject to time and local conditions.
   
   Later, enjoy a relaxing Brahmaputra River cruise or sunset cruise, subject to availability and operating schedules.
   
   Return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

3. Day 3: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park | Into the Wild

   After breakfast, check out and drive towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's most famous wildlife destinations.
   
   On arrival, check in to your wildlife resort and relax amidst the natural surroundings.
   
   The evening is free to enjoy the resort or explore nearby areas.

4. Day 4: Kaziranga National Park | Jungle Safari Experience

   Wake up early and get ready for an exciting Kaziranga jungle safari.
   
   Explore the national park's diverse landscapes of grasslands, wetlands and forests, home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, wild buffalo, deer and numerous species of birds.
   
   Enjoy a second safari or optional local nature experiences depending on the safari schedule and availability.
   
   Return to your resort and spend the evening relaxing in the peaceful surroundings.

5. Day 5: Kaziranga – Guwahati | Departure

   After breakfast, check out from your resort and proceed towards Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
